A strong immigration case can still fail on paperwork. Here is what caseworkers actually look for in financial evidence.
Financial requirements are among the most common reasons an otherwise sound application is refused. The rules are not unreasonable — they are simply unforgiving about format.
Source of funds must be traceable
A balance is not enough. Where the money came from, and when it arrived, needs a clean documentary trail. Large unexplained deposits are the single most common problem.
The holding period is literal
Where funds must be held for a set number of days, the balance must not dip below the threshold on any day in that window — not on average.
Documents must be current and consistent
Names, addresses and dates should agree across every document submitted. Small mismatches create large delays.
Prepare early
Most of what is required takes weeks to assemble properly. Starting a month before submission is starting late.
